My cat Emma is little about 5 pounds, but she sure can take up a lot of room! She sleeps ON me most of the night! And of course I can't say no to her! Well I can say no but it doesn't do any good! She's not much of a cuddler but my daughters cats are! I usually have at least one of them on my lap when I'm babysitting! And they are big cats!

My kitty jumps up on my lap and I just melt. The trust he shows me is humbling to me.

Did you ever try to use your mouse with a car sitting on your hand or arm? thats what mine does to me.Can't crochet too much with her in my lap or close by. Don't know how many times I've ended up with yarn chewed into and I wasn't aware of it until I got to the wet strand. Once she gets hold of the yarn it's hard to get it away from her. She's not a cuddlebug but she waits till I settle for bed & then she's in my lap all nite long.

Awww, she sounds darling! Mine tries to chew on my yarn at times too but I can't say that he sits on my arm. What personalities they have, animals just astound me with what they do! That is precious that she sleeps with you! Smudge does sleep with me most nights too.

My other big buddy will sometimes come sit on my lap Or come to sleep for a little while. He never used to do this until he lost his big buddy of 12 yrs last yr.He grieved right along with me.Koko was a 20 lb Ragdoll of a little more than 16 Yrs.Boy do we miss him. He didn't bother my crochet thread & neitherdoes Spookie. But wouldn't trade Oreo for a million dollars.Shes pretty special.Crochetsed a little last nite but have been getting some wreaths & things ready for the craft shows I do in Nov, & dec. Will get back to it as I can. Also have a rummage sale to do 1st weekend in Oct. My daughters. By the time xmas is over I will be exhausted. But fun.

Too funny! There's that old saying, "Dogs have owners, Cats have servants". That's what my cat thinks! I've become slightly more assertive and make him share when he sits in "my" spot. Thankfully he's very gracious about it. :-D He's a rescue cat and not inclined to sit in my lap but he has finally decided he likes to be petted and have his jaw scratched. For awhile there I thought his "motor" was broken 'cuz he didn't purr. He does now so I guess he was just deciding if he liked me.
PS: I love dogs too!
