Stretching.
I got my interweave crochet magazine today, and they had an article about stretching before you start crocheting. I have never thought to do this, I just pick it up and go lol. It supposed to help reduce pain and strengthen muscles, so you can enjoy crocheting.
Does anyone take the time to stretch before jumping into a project??

No, never thought of it but the carplal tunnel would probably like that. Anybody have hand exercises that they do?

Hmm...never really thought of this with crocheting. If I have been crocheting for a while and need to get up and stretch - I do. Good idea! Did they share any other tips that were useful for you that the members might enjoy?

They also recommend sitting properly, neck rolls, chin to shoulder stretch, seated spinal twist, arm circles( I haven't done those since high school gym class lol

Oh My!! I did everything in my power to skip phys ed in school and now you want me to start exercising?? I don't think I can do that. I will have knee surgery next month and that rehab is hard, very hard and I will just shake my hand when it goes numb and rub the arthritis pain away. I hate exercise! lol
