Yes, I love the view out the back door. I have 5 acres and the house sits on 2 and the rest is woods. I lost 17 trees to a wind shear so the woods are a little further back now. I love where he moved the trees and I have a new seating area under the trees. Living in Nashville for most of my life it takes a little getting used to living in the boonies. I looked out of the kitchen window and saw a ground hog and wondered who I called to get rid of it. I had possums in Nashville that I called someone to remove. Then it hit me, I am living where they take the animals to live. LOL Culture shock!!

I live in a little town up in the Ozark mountains. I moved here about 6 years ago after living in St. Louis for over 30 years. I never knew that inside I was a country girl. I HATE having to go up to town(that's what we call St. Louis up here in the hills, LOL), I have to see several specialists and they are all in St. Louis, so I have to trek up there once in a while. Could be twice a year and it would be too much for me!
Faye, do you get cats or dogs dropped off out there, abandoned? We see that a lot here, sad to say. I think it is pretty widespread.

There was a hound that came up but he was a hunting dog and he found a home. I can't afford to take care of another thing!!! I plan to move again in the future so I am enduring this but I can't wait until I can walk to the store again.

A lot of work but worth it in the end! Very nice. When do you find time to sleep?

Insomniac, also had knee surgery during this. It took a longer time than I wanted but I do love it now. I still want to put built in cabinets on each end of the room beside the larger window and I have a built in window seat to finish.
