We homeschooled until this year. My youngest opted to go to public high school. He started on the 15th and I am adjusting to the quiet house from 6:30 till 4:30. It's nice but I miss our time together. Fortunately my daughter stops by frequently with the 3 year old and I get my "Granma" time. So I am all over the place with ages - lol!. She and her daughter lived with us for a year after her divorce while she got on her feet. It is a sign of the times, I think. We were just fortunate to be able to help.
