Just got back from a yard sale and bought 6 skeins for $3. Two of the skeins are the doubles and sell for nearly $6 a piece. You just never know what's out there.

    Better than Goodwill prices.

a yard sale 2 yrs in a row is how I got most of the yarn I have.Awoman I know was cleaning out her mothers house & had sales in the summer .I got a large box for $15 that had about 35 skeins in it. I got to fill up the box so I made sure I mhad at least 2 of each color I selected. Did the same thing the next year. I,m still working on it.

That's a GREAT FIND. I love yard sales. It's really amazing what's out there waiting to be found. I would guess that the retail cost for that much yarn would be more than $300. Happy crocheting!!!!

Your poor husband doesn't know us yarn hoarders well, so much yarn, so little time. Vaunda

Hi dashlover. My home town is Wichita. Left when I was about 20. What a find at the yard sale. I can't seem to find anything like that around here.

I love yard sales, I am out every Sat. morning at eight o'clock and have only missed two this summer, once because I was sick and the other because of rain. Last week I had a great day got lots of things that I will enjoy. Vaunda

I once hit it big at a yard sale too. The woman's mother had passed and she selling off the entire contents of her craft room. My poor husband took one box after the other to the car for me that day. I'm sure I still have a little of the yarn left.
