    Just In From The Rainstorm...

I checked on two of my gardens, patio garden(pg) and veggie garden(vg). A couple of okras(pg) are more than 4 in long, with others being 2 in or less. I sighted a closed blossom also. The lone tomato plant in my patio garden is standing tall and appears to have appreciated the rainfall. The lettuce is growing steadily in the patio garden. The heat has overtaken the green peas and there's one seedling(pg) that looks healthy. Waiting to see how the green beans(pg, vg) and pepper plant(vg) grows! Also the tomato plants in my veggie garden! ~Happy Gardening~Butterflyrose

I have my cucumbers seedlings(cucumber kit) sitting on the window seat. All 7 of them look quite healthy!

    It Happened Today!

Yes, the day arrived that I could pick My First: 1 okra and 1 lettuce bunch. It was exciting for me! In a few days, more okra will be ready for harvest!

I'll set out some of the cucumber seedlings today. They are several inches tall. I plan to make them a part of my patio garden. Others will remain on the window sill for a while.

Yesterday I set out two cucumber seedlings in a planter. The remainder of them are on my patio table at the moment. I put one caladium in a large patio planter. Three more caladiums were planted in a pretty floral designed planter. I added another tomato plant from the garden to my patio garden. Today I removed the pepper plant from my garden and planted it in a planter. The last green pea seedling has withered.

I am in the process of weeding this garden as it has grown so much since the lawn service weeded it. I'll put a weed prevention sheet in the garden when I'm finished. I bought this sheet at Daiso on a day trip in the spring.

    Veggie Garden Progress...

~Harvested a few okra pods, cooked and eaten(fried, in crock pot)
~Cucumber and tomato plants growing steadily
~Planted more lettuce on June 28
~Planted more okra on July 1
~Planted more peas on July 18(first seeds didn't grow)

The caladiums that I bought have already produced more sprouts. They are beautiful!

I didn;t plant a garden this year. Didn't get the raised gardens done in time but are planning one next year. I do have flowers though. I have some roses, impations, snap dragons, petunia's, one that is like inpations but looks like roses, geraniums, and marigolds. There are some others also but I don't remember what they are right off hand.

Yesterday, I picked 5 okra pods from my gardens. 3 were from my patio garden and 2 from my in-ground garden. There are 4 plump tomatoes growing in my patio garden. Lettuce will be ready for picking in a week or more! Still waiting for those cucumbers to make a display...mmmm! Green bean vines are green and growing too!

The caladiums are gorgeous along with many of my other flowers.

    Checking My Gardens...

More orka is on the vines! Tomatoes are plumper and the lettuce leaves are bigger.

Yesterday, I picked lettuce from my garden and made a delicious salad by adding tomatoes, onions and cucumbers. The lettuce tasted so fresh!

I picked my longest okra ever today! Waiting for a few more to reach maturity, then I'll make an okra dish.
