I don't know, Jean Marie. Let me tell you the story behind this. There is a wonderful, wonderful movie that was made called Jesus of Nazareth. They usually show it around Easter every year. The last scene in the movie shows Jesus with His apostles and He's telling them that He must leave again and go back to His Father in Heaven. This is after the Resurrection. They're begging Him to stay and the very last thing you see is He stares right at you and tells them how He'll always be with them, even to the end of all time! I've never forgotten it and have never bothered to look it up, feeling that it wasn't important to have a source for that... just that thought in my mind and my heart were more than sufficient to believe. Someone along the way had said to me that they thought it was from Isaiah and once again, I just accepted the words of Jesus with faith and with no need to prove their provenance.
So can anyone believe His words without having reminders or just simply have the faith to accept the words of Jesus and believe what He says?

A sampler my dear mother stitched- I shall pass this way but once. Therefore any good that I can do or any kindness that I can show let me do it now. For I shall not pass this way again.

Will You not Yourself revive us again,
That Your people may rejoice in You?

It took a miracle to hang the world in space,
It took a miracle to put the stars in place.
But when You saved my soul,
You cleansed and made me whole,
It took a miracle of love and grace.
From a song I heard sung by George Beverley Shea

You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am your Lord. Leviticus 19:18

The tragedy of life does not lie in not reaching your goals. The tragedy lies in not having any goals to reach. It isn't a calamity to die with dreams unfilled. But it is a calamity not to dream.

The only way to get ahead is to get better. If you're not continually improving in the most important areas, then you're not moving ahead.
