A Daily Dose of Thanksgiving...

He has clogged arteries. One clogged artery is next to his heart. The other is up near his shoulder. They have to do a double bypass. In behind his esophagus. He has a beard. He has to shave it off. He don't like that. But he knows he has to. This will save his life. You see the VA was suppose to do this surgery 2 yrs ago. Then they said, they waited to long. And they couldn't do it. So, they sent him to Asheville, N.C. to see what they could do at the VA there. They said it had been to long. He would have to live with it. Now another 1yr later they say they can fix it. So, the Lord work it out where the DR can do something about the arteries. The one next to his heart is clogged up real bad. He don't get the right amount of blood flow to his brain. That is what keeps him tired a lot. He has no energy and hardly no appetite. Its been 3 yrs. now. Well he got another DR and he is a better DR than he had. The other one just dragged his feet. All he done was ask my husband what pain level was he on, etc. Then type in his PC. He didn't look at my husband very much. Now the one he has now. Pays attention to my husbands health. He treats him like a person. Not like a nobody. He pays attention to what my husband has to say. The other one did not. They are going in tomorrow with a camera. Up in his leg groin. To the inside of his heart. It depends on what they see. If they see he needs the surgery now. They will transport him to the hospital in Bristol. If not he will go to recovery for an hour and come home. That is what scares us so bad. The thing going into his heart and what they find. Also the surgery that he will have to have. If not tomorrow. Then they will have to set it up at another time. Then when he gets well from that. He has to have his neck checked out. His neck is shaped like an hourglass. They think that is what is keeping him from walking very good. He can barely can get around. So, that is what is going on. Sorry it is so long of an explanation.

~remembering to stay focused on God and His infinite power
~God being ever present in my life
~each new day which affords me the opportunity to experience another newness in life
~being able to see the glass overflowing and not just half full
~having a joyful spirit

Thankful for another day to give thanks to a loving, faithful, generous God
That I am His child
That He is always there for me
He has given me peace during the worst times of my life
He has given me remission from cancer

My husband didn't make it to clear to me. What was going on with the surgery

~seeing the wonder of being celebrated through another church member's eyes(reminds me to ALWAYS be thankful for my many blessings) Taking NOTHING for granted!
~being surrounded by people on one accord in my daily life
~people in my life who know how to celebrate and rejoice with and for each other's successes in life
~New Experiences...so thankful for each new one!
