I finally Have Water

I finally got water, My BIL finally got my Hot water fixed. He had to fix the floor first. Isn't it odd how you take things for granted like running water. LOL

Yes, it is odd when we take things for granted. Fortunately during the last severe hurricane we had, we never lost our water service. We did go without electric power for two weeks. What a bummer that was! So our water and telephone (landline --- cell phones were out of operation because all the towers blew down) were the only services we had! Our not-so-long-ago ancestors lived without the things we take for granted! So we should be able to, also, lol!

Yes, I remember when I was young we didn't have running water, we had a pump outside we had to carry water inside. We also had an outhouse, summertimes were horrible.
When you have young children it is really terrible, thank goodness it was just me.
I also had the large size wet wipes, there the size of a regular washcloth. That really helped, I had the to wash Tom when he was bedridden. Until the Aides came twice a week to wash him.
Those really came in handy.

Worst Christmas ever: Sewer backed up and power went out. Router company did not have a generator. Don't even try to imagine it.

WOOHOOO!! HOORAY!! Glad to hear you have water again! We had a water leak in our water main this year and had to do without water for four weeks until we had the entire water line replaced. From the street to the house was about 260 feet, so it wasn't cheap, but you do what you need to do. We kept going to the neighbors to get several gallon bottles filled for drinking, cooking, flushing toilets, etc. It was no fun! Yes, we do take it for granted. It's amazing how your life changes without it!

I don't know what I would do without water for a month, especially with me moving in a month, trying to wash everything before packing.
