Sheila - I never thought of doing that. I bet it does make for some interesting bird nests. Next time I get the urge, I will have to remember to leave some scraps for my feathered friends.

I love it. I roll my birds out on the balcony and crochet away!

It looks like crocheting outdoors will be 'on hold' until the fall around these parts. Today we've managed to hit the 100F mark for the first time this year!

    Summer is on its way...

Being a native Floridian, I live in the outdoors.I have a small tropical garden, This is my "Peace Pond". I spend time praying and crocheting prayer shawls. I love it.

No, you are not alone. I crochet outside, in the car, at the lake, hardly every leave home without it.

I do the same with my scrap yarn, but I also throw my hair (from my brush) outside for the birds to use too!

I love the "birds nest" idea! It would make for a colorful yard!

YES! I love to sit on our front porch, which is shaded by 90+ year old maple trees, and crochet away! I make crib size blankets for the Linus Project, and have just passed my 204th blanket in 4 years. I also crochet hats for missionaries from my church to take to several different orphanages in Africa. My community has supplied me with a lot of yarn over the years, for which I am very thankful!
