prayer for husband with lung cancer

Asking for prayer for my husband. I have asked for prayer for him before. My sons will be taking him to Zion,Ill. Feb.9th The new cancer pill has been helping him a lot --but they need to give him chemo every other week for the small spots on his liver. Praying for a good report. He has never smoked but the people he worked with did. They didn't think he had much time left but it has been 2 years. God has really been good to us. There have been set backs but a new cancer pill for his type of lung cancer just came out in Sept-2013. That was a true God send. He doesn't use a cane or a walker anymore and even went bowhunting this past fall--we could hardly believe it because this summer he was in so much pain. Our daughter died of cancer after 2 years of fighting it at age 21. I guess that is making me a little nervous --but I know it shouldn't --everything is in God's hands but sometimes my insides get so nervous. So thanks for the prayers and letting me vent. It helps a lot.

No I am not going with. I have gone there different times and when it looks bad. But we have a system I do the doctor and chemo here in Wi. and the boys take him to Ill. Even though it isn't a fun thing --They like being the 3 men together. It is good for Bill and saves on me. If he wants me to go I go. It is really nice that the doctor in Zion and the doctor in Wi. will work together --saves us a lot of running. I don't know what people do that don't know God. I think part of our salvation is that we know when we die we go to heaven and God is watching over our loved ones and we will see them again. It is just all those feelings and God helps with that too. Thank God for our boys--they are awesome men now with faith in God and big hearts. Another of God's blessings to Bill and I. Another is Skittles--we were never going to have a dog in the house --especially my husband. I think he loves the dog more than me--he even calls him baby--another of God's wonders.

Susie I am so glad to hear of your faith in God. I am with you... I don't know how people that don't have God in their life make it thru each day. I will be praying for you and I do believe we will be reunited with loved ones who have already gone on. One of my sons is a preacher and such an inspiration to me. I am amazed at the things God has done for him and I do believe God has blessed our whole family. One of my sons was an alcoholic and now he isn't. That is a really big blessing for me. I thought he would never be anything else and I was just about to give up and die myself with worry about him. God helped him to turn completely around and change his life. I thank God everyday for what He has done in our lives. My 3 boys are really brothers again! God will take care of your situation and He has your husband in His healing hands. Love and hugs and prayers to your family , your friend, Patty

My prayers go out to you and your family, Susie Ann. My sympathy on the death of your young daughter. You and your family have endured more than enough sorrow and illness. May God hold you in his arms. You can vent any time you like. This is a warm and caring place to come. Wishing your husband continued remission. I truly believe animals go a long way in helping to recover from an illness. The love of a family also helps immensely. God love you. Hugs, Judy
