Do you plan to garden this year??
Spring will be here before you know it! This year I will be helping a friend of mine plant tomatoes, okra, green peppers, cucumbers, watermelon, and cantaloupe.
Do any of you plan on making or taking care of a garden this year?
This can be a flower garden, vegetable garden, or even a kitchen herb garden.
So what are your plans for gardening this year?

Yes, I do it every year. I plant tomatoes and peppers, herbs and flowers. This year I may add more veggies. I can't wait till I can start planting (in my area, it is May 15 as the last danger of frost but I usually plant around Mothers Day).

Love gardening, but have definetly not gotten the hang of Florida gardening. We made a small raised bed and planted tomatoes, peppers, and Japanese eggplant last year and only the one lone eggplant produced well....it finally died just a few days ago when we had a frost. Will try it again this spring; I think we crowded things too much. I am getting a few perennial flowers started and had lots of zinnias and coleus last summer and will plant more of those.

Everything green I try to grow dies. So I quit! However if it is an actual free growing thing in the yard it does well. Our banana plants are doing wonderful. Of course I just cut off the dead leaves and I don't even water them, fertilize them, or even talk to them and they do great. Go figure...
