This is a pic of the snowman afghan and I can say this I thought I wasn't ever going to get it done because it was all single crochet

Very nice. The thing I like about snowmen is they are "winter" not christmas and you can leave them out longer. I'm lazy and hate to put the holidays away. lol I know your sister-in-law will love it. I would.
