hello from MD
Hi there,
Mom taught me to crochet when I was 9, long time ago. Only problem was she was left handed and I'm right. LOL. Everyone says my stitches are weird. Gets the job done so I don't care I mostly crochet for myself. Once in a while I'll give something away to someone...if it looks good.
So glad to find new patterns and ideas.
Edie

How could your stitches look weird? I am a lefty also and sometimes have problems with the pattern. Especially if there our letters in it. They seem to come out backwards!! So do not make that pattern.

Hi Edie and welcome. So do you crochet right or left handed?
Like you my mom (and grandma) taught me to crochet but I am the opposite they were right handed and I am Left handed I crochet right handed though. it is sometimes a little difficult to get a stitch figured out. I think left handed but have to do it right handed and because I am crocheting with my opposite hand I am not the fastest puppy in the race.God will never put more on your plate then you can handle.

I crochet right handed. The problem is I never got the knack of holding the thread correctly. You know winding it thru your fingers. And my stitches are really tight. I am a slow one too. Mom could watch tv hold a conversation yell at us kids to behave and whip up an Afghan all at the same time. Lol
