Making Slipper Soles Non-Slip
I'm planning to make some crochet slippers for Christmas gifts, so went on a hunt to find the best way to make the soles non-slip.
I have tried using the puff paint found in the craft department, and it works, but gets dirty easily, and rubs off.
Here is a method I'm going to try that looks pretty good. The product is called "Plasti-Dip," and is a liquid that you use to paint a "rubber" coating on the handles of tools.
I saw a blog where she used the spray version, and it was very messy, and didn't turn out too well. I think the liquid, with a paint brush would be the best.
Here is a link to how to do it:

PS I think this might work to coat the back of crocheted rugs, too.Annette

thank you for this information. I have made some slippers, (and boy were they ever slippery slippers on wood floors) and went sliding around myself.

Yes good post only this week I had a lady ask me how to make the slippers I gave her non-slip as she also has hardwood floors. I was thinking a line of hot glue but this would be so much better, many thanks for sharing
