    Crochet hooks

    Hi everyone,

I have been checking out the crochet hooks that are suppose to make it easier for us with arthritis. Do they really help and are they worth the price?

I have heard some people like the therapeutic crochet hooks. I am not sure the type you are looking at. We would love to know more!

I have tried a few different brands/styles of these hooks and found that Clover Amour worked best for me. They are very comfortable and I find that I can crochet for longer periods of time when using them. I would suggest you try one first. I did that and now own all that they offer at this time. Happy hookin'!

I haven't tried any yet but have heard a lot of the gals like Clover, but I would only buy 1 until you find out if it is right for you. I am thinking of the theripeutic gloves because the hand that bothers me is the hand that holds the thread.

I have really bad RA and holding the hooks has become all but impossible. I found a company on line called Abilitations and ordered large foam tubes. I can put everything in them (Toothbrush, crochet hooks, pens, pencils and silverware). They are a god send!

I sent a reply just now and I don't think it worked. Just so you know, Clover has the Amour hooks...softer than their Soft Touch so give them both a try if you wish. Both have quality hooks and handles so it's a matter of individual choice. We can't let arthritis stop us from enjoying our favorite activities.

My mother has the regular clover hooks and loves them, they have a larger handle than the amour hooks that I have. But I do like the clover amour hooks the best for me and you are right, they are softer.
