    plastic canvas felt

    Hey everyone.-----for those that do plastic canvas do you sew another piece of canvas to the back to cover the stitches or can you use adhesive back felt. Just wondering bettybee

    I've been given plastic canvas items and there has been felt backing on them.

    I think this all depends on the preference of the individual and what you are making with the canvas. If it is made, for example - like a tissue box, usually people will not see the stitches on the back. If you are giving a gift that may show the stitches more prominently, you may desire to add the felt backing...

    A long time ago I did plastic canvas Christmas ornaments, and I very carefully glued felt to the back. If the adhesive felt would hold, go for it.

    Thanks lee I was wondering if their was and easier way then sewing 2pieces of plastic canvas together----on some things I will but on little ornaments it will be easier to use the adhesive felt---have a good one bettybee
