    hi from Hawkeye country --- IOWA!!

    Thanks Barb for getting me here!! I'm Linda from Iowa! land of the Hawkeyes! i crochet and knit a lot now that i've retired from being a middle school band director!! Gotta keep my hands busy, same as when I played along with my students on the band instruments during their lessons! By the time I retired, I could finally play TUBA decently!!! I started a prayer shawl ministry so that keeps me stitchin' everyday!!

    Welcome to the forum. We're happy to have you. This is a friendly bunch of people who are always willing to share patterns and crochet suggestions and advice if needed.

    We have retired people here, and some younger ones, too. I am retired and have many wonderful grandchildren that I crochet hats and scarves for. I also love to make handmade cards and sew toys.
