Hi I am new to this site. I enjoy crocheting. I initially started, years ago, with knitting but I found crocheting a lot more relaxing. I basically stay with simple patterns because I am dyslexic. I like making hats, scarfs, prayer shaws, wraps & afghans. I am also a member of the, " crochet like crazy for a period of time. Put it down for 2 to 3 years & then start it all over again club." I know a lot of you out there can relate. I started up again, this past spring. Unfortunately I am currently out of commission. Bursitis in my right shoulder. I am trying to be patient & wait it out. I live in the South NJ area. I would be interested in joining a group or club of crocheter's in this area. Looking forward to being a member of this forum.

Welcome, and I hope your shoulder heals up. I had a spell with a bad shoulder a few years ago. It just came out of nowhere, and finally went away after quite a few months. It hasn't come back again, thank goodness. I wasn't crocheting then and was still working. I couldn't even really lift my right arm to use my curling iron or brush my hair. It was a real drag until it got well. Hope yours clears up quickly.
