    Hi I am new to this site. I am a retired nurse, mother of 3 and grandmother of 2 and a half. I am looking for a pattern for an afghan for my future grandson.Maybe a granny square pattern? Thanks

    HI! I'm also new to this site. I'm mother of 3. Grandmother of 5 and 1/2. Waiting to hear gender of daughter's baby due in Feb.

    I want to welcome both of you to the group and congrats on the future grandbabies
    bjd check the following sites maybe you will find one you like the 3rd one I just found not really baby but it has a few but it is a good site to keep for as a reference for squares
    the 2nd one is just baby afghans on crochet pattern central not all will be granny squares and the 1st is just a easy granny square baby afghan by red heart

    Dear MsBhaven,
    Thank you so much for the Granny Square sites. Great ideas!! So many options.....lovely thought. Soon as I hear what my newest grand baby is.....my fingers will be flying! I have crocheted a special gift for all my grands, from sweater sets to dressy ensembles as well as gifts for so many baby showers at church. I agree, something so enchanting about that Granny Square!!!

    Hey and welcome. Wanted to post a tip, not meant to be a downer about granny square afghans. I do think they are appealing. But my daughter, mother of 7, says she doesn't like granny afghans with babies because they get their little fingers and toes caught in all the openings. So I keep that in mind when looking at patterns for babies.
