    Returning "Home"

    Good morning! I am returning to the world of crafting after a v-e-r-y long absence! I first began crocheting 44 years ago, when I was a young wife and expecting my first child. After being involved in academia for many years, I am taking time for some self-nurturing again, via crafts, and I plan to fashion homemade gifts for family and friends again and start a little home business, too. I AM SO EXCITED!!

    Welcome to the forum! And I am excited for you! I retired a few years ago, and like you, became reacquainted with the joys of creativity. I am enjoying it so much. In addition to crocheting, I make handmade greeting cards and sew cute things for my grandchildren. Have fun with this new stage of your life.

    Irish Rose: I am so happy you are able to rekindle your love of crocheting and other projects. I have been retired since October 2011 and have enjoyed every second of it. I crochet baby blankets for Project Linus and make some large afghans for a boy's ranch. Welcome to CT. I know you will become addicted to this site as I am! Hugs, Shirley
