    Does anybody know what is the best yarn (string) to use for swimwear?

    I think you have to go with string. Maybe #10. I would really suggest looking at crocheted bathing suits, to see what has worked for others. I would definitely line it. And you definitely want something that won't shrink or stretch too much. Of course some of them aren't really meant for swimming in
