My name is Cheryl i have been crocheting about 40 years When I was first married, my husband was in th military and we were stationed in the Philippines. I was incredibly bored as he was a firefighter and worked 24 hour shifts One day, I went to a variety store and found a large book on how to crochet. I bought a large spool of red cotton thread and a few hooks. That was my start and my first ambitious project was a pineapple round table cloth for my mother and she still uses it I found something to spend my time and have been crocheting ever since.

Welcome to CT. I am 66, retired and have four grandchildren. We live in Eastern Washington. I mostly crochet baby blankets for Project Linus and full afghans. The red tablecloth sounds gorgeous. I found some beautiful fabric and cross-stitched when we were stationed in Berlin, Germany. We would love to see pics of your projects! Shirley
