Blocking
I am working on an afghan that is in small pieces and joined as I go at points. I will need to be blocked. Where do you block a large piece like this? Any help or hints would be wonderful. love Carol

you can do it yourself; but you need a large surface..maybe you can 'pin' it on a wall? dunno hope this helps.....happy crocheting.

I have used a bed before. Also, a large table like a dining room table would work. I would just cover it carefully so it is protected from any moisture or pins.

Thanks for the ideas! I may take over my dining room table as a drying stand for a while! Love Carol

That is exactly what I would do: Use something like the table pads to protect the table and then use a couple of bed sheets for further protection. Shirley

Thanks Shirley, I will do that. I will have my son post a picture when I finish the afghan, still have a way to go, but it is coming along. I have no skills when it comes to the computer. love Carol

I haven't blocked anything and am not looking forward to doing it. Good luck and let us know how you did it and how it turned out. Thanks for posting this. Pat
