What is this?
Does anyone know what the white flower is? It just came up in my flower bed and I love it and hope it comes back next year with more of them!! Also there is the healthiest weed growing right next to it! I need to yank it up by the roots. Don't know if I can now it is so BIG! I can't take care of my flower gardens any more like I used to . The drought took care of some of my flowers.. I lost a pretty purple bushy plant and I don't know what it was. I didn't plant it so I guess it's gone. The white flower has a spikey kind of leaf that shoots out from the base of the poles with flowers growing on the poles. I have see them before butAttachment 5100Attachment 5099Attachment 5098Attachment 5097 don't know if they are wild or not. Anyone know what they are? They look so pretty thru my front window. redhead/Patty
PS when you enlarge the 3rd one over that is about how big they are in real life!

GrammaJoe and Patty: It is a Yucca plant and they grow like crazy here in the desert! Just ignore them and they do fine. Cut the stalk off in late fall!!!! Shirley

They are like little bells. They are really sturdy and come back each spring!!!! No work! They survive well in pots too!!!

When we lived in Missouri we had a Yucca in our yard. I sure hated to leave it. It has such a pretty bloom and requires no care.
I'm sure you will love it.

the yucca plant. my mom and grandmom had those--it was the bomb back in the 1950's & 1060's. they used to call them heaven's candles in my neck of the woods.
