Hello new friends!

My name is Jackie and I love to crochet! Been busy with work, but people around me are having new babies and I am looking forward to trying some of those cute baby hat patterns I see on the website. I usually make afgans in the winter for family, but something cute and quick is what I am interested in today. I just went thru my yarn collection and found some baby pink yarn and am going to download a pattern for a cute little hat and booties just to see if I still have the knack. My Mother and Grandmother were crafty with hooks and needles and I know how to do about everything in needlework, but knitting still eludes me even when entering my golden years. Crochet is quicker!

I'm married with 3 children, all in college but the baby who just graduated from high school. I work full time in a local mental health center as a community casemanager. I live a busy life and like to read, bake and keep busy when I'm not recouperating from the day! I have been a member of a forum years ago and met lots of neat people on it and now have the time to talk to people again.

Hope I can follow these patterns! I make baby things when the kids were growing in my tummy and now they're all just starting their adult lives. None are interested in making the Mom a Gramcracker, so I decided to donate what I make to the local hospitals if they are "worthy".

Hello Jackie. Welcome to crochet talk. Crocheting is very interesting and I enjoy doing it. I make things for people when they order it. For myself I like to do the filet stitch. Hope you enjoy it.
