How fun! I am sure she enjoyed it I have yet to be brave enough to do a granny square afghan. I love doing Granny squares, but to put them together? I think I would have to be in the right frame of mind to do so!

Very nice. Love your colors. The first 1 I made, I edged in black and it really made the colors pop! TFS

Hi: What a gorgeous afghan. My first project was a granny square afghan with black as the trim. I was teaching Home Ec and one of my students taught me to crochet right-handed although I am a lefty! When I sewed the squares together she had me put right sides together and like whip stitch but between the stitches so they laid very flat. It turned out so nice and I could hide all the ends.

great job on the 1st afghan! i love it when the menbers post afghans--they are so creative. this afghan reminds me of the one they had on the "roseanne" t.v. show. they had a afghan on the back of the couch that looks like that too!
