    ragtime

Hi.. I am looking for a crochet pattern for "wristies".. that is the only
name I can think of.. they are like 'half' of a glove.. but just has a thumb
and up just to the wrist.. and up almost to the knuckles.. does this make
any sense? My Granddaughter has some store bought ones that are made
from a knit fabric.. I would like to crochet one, but I am not good at
making up a pattern. Thanks much.

They are called many things, wristies, wristlets, wrist warmers, text gloves, but mainly, they are fingerless gloves. If you type in - free crochet fingerless glove pattern - you will come across about a gazillion free pattern. From the very basic and easy to the most advanced and difficult patterns and everything in between. Hope this helps.--Jan

Irishjl has hit it one the nail. One year I made those for the grandkids for Christmas and for the smaller granddaughters I also made the legwarmers to match. They even have patterns for the wee ones in the family. Have fun, their very easy to make.
