He is a cutie and looks so happy doing his chain. Who said they chained a whole ball of yarn when they were learning? I'm looking at that yarn thinking that would be some chain!

way to go! i wish more young kids would learn how to crochet. they did not even have crochet or knitting lessons in my home economics class when i was in school, just sewing and cooking.

he was doing very good..needed a few reminders to keep it from going wonky on him... he had been asking to learn for awhile... finally got grandma wore down enough to teach him ( I don't have the patience to try lol). my other two have now decided they want to learn to...but seeing as my youngest is only four the other is eight... I am going to get them spool knitting first and then we will try teaching them to crochet...

yes all we had the option for was cooking or sewing... I did a semester if sewing I sucked at it lol. it should still be an option to take knitting ir crochet if nothing else it teaches you a different way to deal with fustration lol.
