Tea, Anyone?
Mother's Day is rapidly approaching, and I have been wracking my brain over what to give my Mom. I was cleaning my knick-knacks in the kitchen yesterday, and took down the tea set I inherited from my grandmother. The light bulb went off!
The prototype is kind of finished. I say kind of, because I'm still not happy with the saucer, the increases are too difficult and not evenly spaced for my liking so adjustments will be made. It hasn't been starched yet, as I had a empty yogurt container set aside to use as a blocking form for projects such as these, and when I went to get it this morning.... It was gone! (Hubby was loving enough last night to clean up after dinner, need I say more?) I've found a suitable replacement for it, but couldn't wait to share my work.
Made with size 10 thread and a size 5 hook. I plan on sharing the pattern after I translate it from my shorthand. What do you think? Would you like this if someone made it for you?

yes that is lovely--and yes i would adore anything that anybody crocheted for me! except i do not know any of my friends or family that do crochet--just me!
