TA-Da! My Abagayle Purse and Pattern Are Finally Finished!
This is a pattern that caused a lot of personal angst. I wrote and crocheted the original wa-a-a-y back in 2008. Weeding through my unpublished patterns, i came across it the other day, and decided it was time to publish it.
This is the original, done in lovely yarn. I don't have the yarn at this time to make a new one, and the original was donated ages ago. So to test my pattern, and put it into normal crochet terms, I did a new one using size 10 thread, and sizes 5 and 7 hooks. Here's how it came out:
Abagayle purse done in size 10 thread
Doily flap and doily pocket. See how tiny it is in thread?
Back of the purse showing waffle stitch detail, bottom edging, and top ruffle details.
Now to just get it (the pattern) posted on my blog!
