Another great advantage to knowing symbols is that when i am struggling with a written pattern, if i use the symbols ( which do resemble the sctual stitch in many ways) and symbol out the pattern in a couple rows, i can usually work thru my problem area. I dont know if it is because i am "seeing" the pattern or am being forced to read more carefully, but what the hey, it works for me!!

Glad to hear that this site will help, i really think it is an asset knowing how to read diagrams. It really is easy once you get use to it.

Which one on Lawana? If you go to u-tube and do a search of "filet crochet", there is several videos showing. Thought I seen one on Pinterest one day, but can't find it, might of been of something else

Thanks Rosie. I found them both and bumped them back to top. Have got to make myself sit still long enough to watch them. Be back later.

put the thread in one of your subscriptions to find easily. That is what I do with my stuff that I don't want to get lost

I just pulled this from one of my subscriptions so I remember how to do them!! lol Check out my link to see how to do it if your not using them!! Great asset here on Crochet Talk!
