White Sox Cardigans
Hello Everyone and Happy Spring!
When my Grandson was only 3 months old
I crocheted him his first White Sox Cardigan and Baseball Cap.
For his 1st birthday this year I crocheted him a new bigger size.
I crocheted them with Caron Simply Soft yarn
and I doubled it up for strength and warmth.
I'll post the pattern here for the cardigan
but for some reason I'm unable to post the baseball cap pattern here.
You can find it at Crochetville.com, just search for Newborn Baseball Cap.
I changed the brim on the cap to look more like a real baseball hat.
I cut out a piece of thin cardboard in the shape of a brim
and simply crocheted around it then sewed it on the cap.

Those are excellent! Thank you so much for sharing this, my son-in-law is a White Sox fan, and I have been wracking my brain trying to think of something to make him for his birthday. Now I know!

Thanks
Thanks to everyone for your nice compliments.
I babysit this Grandson full time,
baby stuff is so much fun to make.
Especially if you have him right there to try on things!
Marjorie, we're all White Sox fans here,
so I'm always coming up with something to make for them!
This afghan was for my daughter's 35th birthday.
It took me about two months to finish.
I've also crocheted the Marines logo
and the Blackhawks Indian logo.Last edited by Mrs. P; 04-17-2013 at 05:33 PM.

Thanks Marjorie!
The pattern is one of those graph charts
and it's the afghan stitch.
It was my first time attempting a graph
but it was really easy once I got it going.
It was a little difficult keeping my place on the chart
so I used a highlighter as I went along to mark the rows.
Good luck making yours, make sure you post it here.
