    Hi... my name is Dawn

    Hi Everyone...

I am 51 years old and used to crochet back in Junior High. I remember making afghans for ladies at church and they would buy them from me. My daughter is now 17 and we have both decided to pick it up. We are having a great time and have made a few things. My daughter makes mostly infinity scarfs for herself. They turn out cute. I want to start making some animal hats for kids & adults. We've been learning from You Tube videos and I'm afraid I don't quite understanding "reading" patterns but really really want to learn because You Tube doesn't have it all plus I just want to learn reading patterns.

That's about it. I hope I can learn a lot from these forums.

    Thanks.

    Dawn

the easiest way to learn to read a pattern is to put the words in instead of abbreviations then when it says to repeat so many times there is usually a bracket or star on both ends of the repeats If you have a magazine that has all the abbreviations you can cut them out and clip them to the page you can private message me if you want to and maybe we can figure out what the pattern says together Mary
