Need help with pattern... beg V-stitch. Please.

Can anyone help, I'm just a little confused by this:

BEGINNING V-STITCH
Ch 4 ( counts as first dc plus ch 1), dc in same st or sp.

I assume I am to dc in the same st as the chain 4? Sometimes I put way too much thought into what its asking to do then I confuse myself.

Josey, that is what I would do. Just picture a V, the chain part that would the the dc and then the dc that you make would be the point or bottom of the V. The 4th chain on the beginning would be the center top of the V. I know what I am trying to say, but does this make any sense to you?

yes that is what you are to do you don't give yourself enough credit I do the same things sometimes
