I've been a survivor of Uterine Cancer since 1987. Fortunately, they were able to discover it early and get it completely done away with. Unfortunately, it runs rampant through my family. My mother had it in 1984 and my baby sister in 1985. Luckily, they were survivors also. I have also lost a couple of aunts to this dreadful disease. Here's praying that there is light at the end of the tunnel and a cure will be found during our lifetime. Not only uterine cancer, but for ALL cancers!!

I am a survivor of Cervical (uterine) cancer. I also was fortunate enough to find it early and surgical removal was all I had to go through.

Hi all, I am a double cancer survivor. first with thyroid cancer at age 47 back in 1987. then again in 2001 with stage 2 colon cancer - as far as I know I am now cancer free - as far as anyone be cancer free and I am now 76. busy with knitting and crocheting but my favorite is crocheting, can't seem to get enough of it.
Good luck with avoiding this dreadful disease to all on the forum.
hugs

My husband was first diagnosed in 2001 for prostate cancer. They told him if it made it through 5 years, he could be considered cancer free...he had 7 good years when it returned. He had radiation treatment and shots in his abdomen. Now it is 2013 and we are still chugging along. Although the time might not be long, we are making the most out of everyday day we wake up. My prayers to all of you.
