Candle Wax
Has anyone ever used candle wax to help keep ends from coming out after weaving them? If so, what type of candle would you use so it'd goes on clear?

I have never used it but I would assume that melted paraffin would do the trick. It comes in block form and can be purchased wherever canning supplies are sold. Hope this helps.--Jan

I hadn't thought of using candle wax in that way. It might help when I have to thread and rethread a tatting needle when doing split chains or rings. Thanks. Question: Can one remove candle wax off a ribbon, and if so , how? norma

to remove the wax place an old towel under the waxed area then place a paper towel folded in quarters over that. Heat your iron up and place over the paper towel for 10 seconds the wax should melt and be absorbed into the towel below. (may need repeated 2 or 3 times)
