Stitches
I'm trying to figure out how to do a half double crochet stitch. I am learning to crochet and have the single and double stitch down, but not sure how to do the half-double. Can anyone talk me through it?

There are all kinds of web sites that will show you the different stitches. Just type in half double crochet stitch and follow the links. You can learn anything on the web. Good luck. I could tell you but it would be better for you to see it.

How I can talk you through it is this....you should be all set to do a dc...but you pull through all loops, instead of pulling through two times...hope this helps...happy crocheting booties.

Learning new stitches so much fun!! As for decreading, i like to think of it as,, making two stitches and turning them into one stitch. Lots os wonderful sites out there that will tell you how to do it. When i thoight of it that way, i understood the process so much easier. Keep having fun learning and you will never lose the joy of crocheting!!
