Hi from beautiful, warm Scottsdale, AZ

    Hi, all,

I'm ScottsdaleGrandma. We live here because of the wonderful weather, except for about three months in the summer. Then we go up to the northern part of the state. We are also close to San Diego and Rocky Point, Mexico, and love to spend time there, too.

I love to crochet, but have only taken it up again since I retired. I'm having trouble settling on a project. We have seven grandchildren who have various wishes and there are a couple of charity projects I would also like to do. I would also like to re-learn how to knit--some friends who knit seem to get their projects done faster.

Wonderful. My grandmother loved making doilies, and I still have many treasured ones.

Welcome ScottsdaleGrandma. I always thought that knitting takes so much longer to get anywhere than crocheting. I guess it just depends on what you are good at. lol What sort of projects are you choosing from? Personally, I go for the easiest ones first, then tackle the more intricate ones. -janine

Hello Scottsdale Grandma- So many patterns - so little time. How about an afghan or shawl for yourself? Good practice and I'm sure you deserve it- we all seem to forget ourselves. What ever you decide Welcome to the group!
