    question about shug

I am working on a silky twist simple shug free pattern from LionBrand. The question is or the problem is I am not understanding how to do the sleeves. I have followed the directions ..Fold piece in half to measure 21 x 38 in. (53.5 x 96.5 cm). Place markers on each of the 21 in. (53.5 cm) sides, 7 in.
(18 cm) below fold for armholes. Sew sides from markers down to lower edge.
    Weave in ends. ......http://cache.lionbrand.com/printablePatterns/L10375.pdf

I am plain and simple having trouble understanding the sleeves

so you have ALREADY crocheted the sleeves, you just have to form them....I find it hard to explain but if you get a piece of paper and 'shape it' maybe it will give you a visual to go by....hope this helps and happy crocheting.

The pattern is telling you to fold in half and sew only the 14 inches on each side (from the markers to the bottom of the piece on each side), leaving the 7" on each side directly below the fold unsewn. Those would be your armholes. I haven't made this garment, but it looks like when you put your arms into the armholes, half of your work becomes the top of the shrug and the other half becomes the bottom of the shrug. I hope I helped you!

I'll try to post pictures. My nephew had to model it for me to make sure it looked right...LOL am sure he will not like the idea of having a picture taken in it....The shug is for my boyfriend's grandmother......
