Herrschners Grand National Afghan contest
Hi all. I have been too busy to read much, but had to share this. My Herrschners Cat. came last week, and on page 3 is an announcement of an Afghan Contest. You can win $500.00 if you win the category, and and additional $2,500.00 if you win the grand prize.
Entry forms must by received by 6/15/2013 and Afghan entries by 7/15/13. It does have to be your original pattern.
I know some of you are avid afghan crocheters, so I thought I'd let you know. If anyone enters, let us know how its going.

I believe it is. If you can't find info, I'll type up more details. Go for it. I know I won't have the time. But Anasia, you do all those fabulous filet designs, I'll bet you could do something fantastic.

For all the submissions? Wow. No wonder they sponsor it. I was wondering, do they keep all the afghans too?

What I got from reading it, they keep all the copyrights to every afghan....as for the afghan itself I dunno....I wouldn't mind if the grand prize was the only one who had to give up the rights, but I believe everyone who gets the 500 dollars as well; maybe even all entries.

Yes they also keep the afghans....there are a number of categories and if you that you get 500$, the over all winner gets and additional 2,000$. They pay for you to go the awards ceremony.....non winning but honorable mention too gives up the rights to their afghan....but eventually you get your afghan back. There is a fee per afghan entered, 10$ for the first one and 5$ for ea additional one....wow a lot to process.
