    Black yarn!!!

    I am trying to make a Minnie Mouse hat with black top and pink cuff! But it is so hard to see the stitches!I have taken it apart for the second time and I don't know how to solve this! HELP!!!!!

    Black yarn is very hard to see. Are you trying to use a lamp over your work while you are using the black?

    Just must have strong lighting. Don't do black at night. I put a white towel on lap or wear light pants - probably just me thinking that helps. Ha! Wonder if those magnifying headbands or neckless thingys would help?

    I can only crochet with black yarn in very good light- and never at night! At least you're not make a huge afghan with it!! And of course we want pictures when it's done!

    Black yarn is flat out tough to work with. All great tips on how to best crochet with black yarn. We feel your pain!!

    I love black, but can only work on it in daylight. You might try a lightbulb that has daylight whatever it's called, color maybe, if you need to work at night. I think I've seen them at Lowes. Caro

    I use one of those cheap little table lamps you can get at Walmart or the dollar store. It has that adjustable "neck" on it so I can point it right at the black yarn.
