OMG!! I am FINALLY working on this hat, LOL
Ok, I'm a little slow on the uptake but I get there eventually, LOL
Slouchy Gumdrop( still looking for the gumdrops)
● Size J crochet hook
● Yarn needle
● “Chunky Yarn” in 1 or 2 colors
I recommend Paton’s Shetland Chunky & Bernat Softee Chunky. Any yarn that is just a bit thicker than worsted weight will work. You’ll need approximately 220 yards. I used a ball and a half of Shetland Chunky for each of these hats.

INSTRUCTIONS
This hat is crocheted in rounds. Join where the pattern says to at the end of each round. Ignore color changes if you’re making a solid colored hat. Don’t forget to check your gauge. :)

Gauge: At the end of rnd 3, laying flat = 4 1/2 inches in diameter.
If you have any questions about this pattern, specifically rounds 3-5, please check out this post on how to read crochet patterns, where I explain those rounds.

I have no idea what you said, except for the part where your hubby's hat stretched out and can now be used as a sofa cover and your colours of pink and white and we'll see a pic.
I am making mine Red, that true blue red that actually looks better on Faye than on me but I am doing it cos that gets Faye worked up, LOL

Is it supposed to ruffle? Mine is ruffling not a ton but enough to be noticeable. I am on row 5 I think. The pattern increases to a point then it decreases, right?
