    hi all,

    i am new here and excited to be in the group. i have been crocheting since my grandmothers taught me the basic stitches when i was 8 or 9. i started doing real projects when i was 17 and decided to crochet a blanket, sweater and booties for my baby. nowadays, i crochet for my grandchildren - i just finished a baby doll for my granddaughter for christmas and last year i made a sock monkey for my grandson. i have a request for a lala loopsy doll and beanie hat for my granddaughter's birthday, so i am in search of patterns.

    i realize i haven't used any capital letters - my salute to e.e. cummings since when i'm not crocheting, facebooking or reading, i am teaching high school english.
