An inExpensive way to make soft-touch crochet hooks

Here's an inexpensive way to make soft-touch crochet hooks- these are curlers from the dollar store. I cut them in half and slide them over the steel hook, then write the size on the blue foam. Tjhey are a high density foam. It's worked great so far and much easier on my hands if you hold the hook in the palm of your hand like I do. The red one is a pen sleeve over a very small hook.

thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been continually reducing the time I spend crocheting and knitting
due to pain and cramping in my hands and haven't found the foam I need for my hooks. This is a perfect
    solution! Brilliant!

Thanks for the tip Cora. I have a large number of metal hooks and this sounds a whole lot less expensive than purchasing a lot of cushions or replacing the hooks.

Thanks so much! I just knew there was something out there if someone could only find it. I am on my way to the dollar store after I hit JoAnn's.
