    new to the Forum

I am retired and trying to keep my self busy. I sew, make jewelry, tried quilting (not my thing) My grandmother did teach me a little crochet, how to chain and do a single crochet. I am left handed so she had me set squarely in front of her, I think I lot interest. sense then I have learned a little more. Right now I am working on the ruffled scarf. the stitches are easy, but the yarn is difficult to work with. I did a light steaming to help it stay spread out, I don't know if that was the thing to do but it did help some. I am about half done.
I have two boys and three girls, 10 grand kids and 11 great grand kids,

Sewcrazy. I am glad there is another retired person joining our bunch of crazy, funny ladies!. I just joined earlier this month. Already I have learned how to post a picture and have found some patterns I like. I really like all the ladies and they are really helpful. (I hope they like me too and I think they do.) This is so much fun! I think you will really enjoy it. I have a left-handed daughter-in-law and one of my sons is left handed too. He is a carpenter and I can't see that it has hindered him at all. (or her either) I still need to do my profile. Can't seem to find the time. Been gone most of today but will be here probably all day tomorrow. I just tried finished an afghan square without a pattern. It isn't perfect but maybe if I try again I may get it right. I am ready to post both the original and the one I finished, we'll see what everyone thinks. I still can't seem to get the pattern.

HI All: Thank for the warm welcome. I don't think I have ever had such a welcome on a forum. I would love to send some pictures but dont know how with my camera, software is old. I do have an IPad if I can figure it out I think I can send pictures with it.

Hi Barb, I am left-handed, and there are a bunch of videos on how to crochet left-handed on the internet, do a google. Plus, everyone here is friendly and helpful!
