Need help understanding pattern instructions, please!!
[SIZE=3][COLOR=purple]Hey, yawl, I am working on this cap and am stuck. I so appreciate yawl's help!!

Rnd 24: Double crochet around front post in 1st st,
around back post in 2nd st (the sts of the previous
row are your “posts”. Yarn over hook, go down on
one side of the “post” and up the other and continue
the dc. On next st come up from the back of post and
Go down the other side, finish dc) Repeat around to
form ribbing (all rows 62 sts each) Fasten off, weave
in the end.

Wow, you don't fool around with easy patterns do you? I've never heard all those instructions. Glad someone could help. I couldn't!

You know what it is? It is bphc then fpdc. Back post double crochet, then front post double crochet. I love how it looks!! I could not have gotten it done without Christas help.

H hook if you crochet loosely .
[B]Yarn:[/B] [B]100% 4 ply wool only [/B]such as Galway wool, Patons wool, Lions Brand ‘Fisherman Wool’
[B]Colors: [/B]earth tones, medium or dark colors. No light/bright colors to put the soldiers in harms way
[B]Ch 4[/B], close for a ring, ch. 3 (all ch 3 count as a DC)
Rnd 1: 11 DC in ring, close ring with sl st in top of ch 3; (12 sts) ch 3
Rnd 2: 2 DC in each st around, sl st in top of ch 3; (24 sts) ch 3
Rnd 3: *2 DC in first st, 1 DC in next st (repeat from * around, sl st in top of ch 3 (36 sts) ch 3
Rnd 4: Repeat around 3 (54 sts) ch 3
Rnd 5: *2 DC in first st, 1 DC in each of next 6 sts (repeat * around) DC in last 4 sts, sl st in top of Ch 3 (62 sts) ch 2
Rnds 6 to 23: SC in each st close each round as before (62 sts) ch3

Please attach a note to the ‘inside’ of each cap and sign it with your first name and the city & state you are from, to make the caps more personalized. You might want to attach your email address, if the soldier wants to sent you a note. Use yarn to attach note inside the caps & tie in a bow.

Hey Faye-you've never done ribbing with Front and back post dc? I thought that was the way it was done in crocheting!!! Glad you got your answer Landon!
