please help me interpret this pattern
this is the row I just completed on my crochet hat
17th rnd: Ch 1. (1 sc in each of next 6 sc. 2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 5 sc) 5 times. 1 sc in last sc. 66 sc.
now I don't know how to interpret this part of the pattern. If someone can spell it out in individual rows I would appreciate it!
Inc 5 sc as before on every following 3rd rnd to 86 sc.
I'm totally unsure on this! thanks in advance for any help I can get.

pat, 5 times means to do it 5 times... > 1 sc in ea of the next 6 sc. , 2 sc in the next sc, 1 sc in the next 5 sc,< now repeat this 4 more times. I hope this helps you...

thanks, I got that part, it's this line I don't get "Inc 5 sc as before on every following 3rd rnd to 86 sc." I take it there are several more rows to go as it is a bucket hat, but how do I do it?

Here's the pattern
Materials:
• Yarn: 2 balls Bernat Alpaca (100 g / 3.5 oz) #93430 (Persimmon).
• Crochet Hook: Size 5.5 mm (U.S. I or 9) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 12 sc and 14 rows = 4 ins 10 cm.
Size: One size for average woman .
Pattern:
Ch 2.
1st rnd: (RS). 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st to first sc.
2nd rnd: Ch 1. 2 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc. 16 sc.
3rd rnd: Ch 1. (2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc) 4 times. Join with sl st to first sc. 20 sc.
4th rnd: Ch 1. (2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc) 5 times. Join with sl st to first sc. 25 sc.
5th rnd: Ch 1. (2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 4 sc) 5 times. Join with sl st to first sc. 30 sc.
6th rnd: Ch 1. (2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 4 sc) 6 times. Join with sl st to first sc. 36 sc. 7th rnd: Ch 1 (2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 5 sc) 6 times. Join with sl st to first sc. 42 sc. 8th rnd: Ch 1 ( 2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 5 sc) 7 times. Join with sl st to first sc. 48 sc.
Inc 6 sts as before on every rnd to 48 sc. (I put in 7th and 8th row for my help)
9th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc.
10th rnd: Ch 1. (1 sc in each of next 11 sc. 2 sc in next sc) 4 times.
Join with sl st to first sc. 52 sc.
11th rnd: As 9th rnd.
12th rnd: Ch 1. (1 sc in each of next 6 sc. 2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 6 sc) 4 times. Join with sl st to first sc. 56 sc.
13th rnd: Ch 1. (2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 10 sc) 5 times. 1 sc in last sc. Join with sl st to first sc. 61 sc.
Next 3 rnds: As 9th rnd.
17th rnd: Ch 1. (1 sc in each of next 6 sc. 2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 5 sc) 5 times. 1 sc in last sc. 66 sc.
Inc 5 sc as before on every following 3rd rnd to 86 sc.
Next 3 rnds: As 9th rnd.
Next rnd: Ch 1. Working from left to right instead of right to left as usual, 1 reverse sc in each sc around.
Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
