I type in How to read a crochet chart in the search box on yahoo. Several articles came up. I printed them, but have not used them yet.

Start with something really easy - the first chart I knitted had only had 6 stitches to follow but it gave me the confidence to try it. I now love charts - just do it, I think you'll be amazed at how easy it is!

You might also put chart in the search box here on site and see what it comes up with. I know that in the past I have posted some info on the site to help with this...

Silly me - I was not thinking about reading picture charts to crochet something. Is this what you meant Sarah?

Is the chart filet or medallions? There is usually a stitch diagram index located in the front of the magazine or book.
