Crochet 5 a Day patterns

Is it just me or is the Free Crochet 5 patterns people getting lame on the free patterns that they are posting? It seems to me that all that is being sent are cowls and dumb stuff that is really not of any use. Like today, who whats a skeleton key?
I'm just asking if anyone here has the same opninion as I do.

I agree. The patterns today are really dumb--a skeleton key. Really. I go to the patterns mostly to see the authors and other things they may have on their web site. Some times you may find some interesting items. But for the most part the five a day are lame.

I usually check out the sites they send you to! Keys are very popular these days, especially in jewelery making! I have seen several necklaces with keys on them at the Craft Fairs!! I came up with my own design for keys, stiffened them and sell them as Christmas keys, you know to let Santa in if you don't have a chimney! I actually downloaded the pattern to see what I can come up with using it! I,ve been looking for items for Craft Fairs that appeal to tweens and that may fit the bill!!!
